OUR PASTORS

Word of Life Fellowship Church Pastors Mark & Tammy Moore have been ministering as a team since their marriage in 1997.  They both come from a long tradition of Christ followers and have been involved in the ministry the majority of their lives.

While Pastor Mark grew up on the mission field, Tammy Evans Moore grew up in McDonald County, Missouri attending Christian schools and servng in her local church as Sunday School teacher, Children’s Church teacher, Nursing home ministry, Youth leader, piano player, Praise and Worship leader. She was also a certified pre-school and kindergarten teacher and has worked in three Christian schools.

Like the Apostle Paul, Pastor Mark has learned the skill of tentmaking. The skill not only helps provide for his family's needs, it also serves the furtherance of the Gospel by putting ministers in the field. The tent ministry is part of a ministry heritage passed down from Pastor Mark's father, Evangelist and Senior Pastor Gene Moore who is himself a missionary to Belize, Central America. Pastor Mark's brother David Moore has also answered the call to the ministry and serves in Belize as well.

Mark and Tammy have also served God with their musical and singing gifts. They were once members of The Revelators, a southern gospel group that continues to perform and minister today. After their marriage the couple founded Spiritual Rain evangelistic and singing ministry with Mark's sister Mary Hewitt and are still actively serving God in this ministry, as well as serving as head pastors and worship leaders full-time at Word of Life Fellowship in Lanagan, Mo.

OUR CHURCH

The church is not a building, but the body of believers who gather there. Each individual is important and serves a purpose. The Apostle Paul teaches that we are to use the natural and Spiritual gifts God gives us to edify (build up) one another. (1 Corinthians 14:26)

It is in this house of worship that God chooses to use each individual and the

gifts He has imparted to them to meet the needs of every other. The entire body suffers when one is absent because the gift they were to impart goes lacking. One individual  cannot make up for the other.  For the body to function as God intends, each person who is part of this body needs to gather in His presence here whenever there is a meeting. Whether they have attended for years or months, all are needed for such a time as this.

A divine appointment awaits you in the house of God.

Word of Life Fellowship Church is home to several outreach ministries which includes For His Glory Drama Ministry, Redeemed Christian Band, Prison ministry, Street Ministry, Teen & Children’s Ministry, we currently financially support 3 missionaries and the Church building serves as a storm shelter to the area residents during inclement weather.  We also help support other local churches during special events.

It is our desire as a body to share the love of Jesus and to always reach one more soul for Christ.
